This regulation outlines the benefits available to a person injured or killed in Canada or the United States in an accident involving a motor vehicle.

These benefits are referred to as Part 7 benefits, no-fault benefits or accident benefits. It is important to note that they can be obtained by either party regardless of who caused the accident, however this is subject to certain restrictions.

The Part 7 Benefits include:
a)Death benefits including funeral expenses and other benefits for survivors;
b)Homemaker benefits;
c)Medical and rehabilitative benefits both mandatory and permissive; and<
d)Disability benefits for employed persons that provides relief from wage loss while a person is disabled and prevented from the workforce.
