Lorne N. MacLean QC is the founding partner of MacLean Law and the MacLean Personal Injury department. Lorne MacLean’s Queen’s counsel designation is an honour conferred on only 4 percent of the members of the BC legal profession to recognize exceptional merit and contribution. Successful candidates demonstrate professional integrity and good character and must be members of the British Columbia bar for at least five years.
Mr. Lorne MacLean is also a member of the Judicial Council of British Columbia which council vets and approves candidates for judicial office and works to improve access to justice in BC.
A frequent guest on radio and television, a frequent subject of both Canadian and US magazine and newspaper articles, and a past guest lecturer at the UBC Law School, Mr. MacLean has earned a reputation as a tough yet thoughtful advocate for his clients.
Mr. MacLean has also lectured and been interviewed on his multiple innovations in the efficient delivery of client based services that increase the client’s participation in their file and reduce their costs.
Mr. MacLean has had the rare honour of making two unprecedented appearances before the Supreme Court of Canada.
He received his B.Sc. in 1979 from the University of British Columbia and his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) in 1982 from Osgoode Hall.
